Dream decor.

by Lauren on November 28, 2012

One of my roommates is studying interior design and inspired me to do this post. With all the registering I have been doing, it has made me think about what I want my future house to look like. I have mostly been thinking about kitchens, bedrooms and bathroom and thought I would share just a few of my favs.

Wedding registry.

by Lauren on November 21, 2012

The Fiance and I are going to begin registering today! I can hardly contain my excitement because picking out stuff for our future home just makes the whole thing a little bit more real. Its funny that something so simple as a home could carry so much happiness and promise for the future. We are going to start at Crate & Barrel and Target. If the fiance can handle it, we also might stop by Bed Bath & Beyond and William Sonoma.

My sister and I did a sneak peak at Crate & Barrel the other day to checkout what they had. They definitely did not disappoint.

{I have had my eye on this red tea kettle for awhile. There is something so cheerful about it.}

{The wood cutting board adds a modern touch to any kitchen.}

{These are fun because you can fill them with cranberries or whole coffee beans for a decorative burst of color.}

Just a few of the things I have my eye on. It going to be hard to decide on a lot of things because everything at Crate & Barrel is to die for.

Thanksgiving pie pops.

by Lauren on November 11, 2012

Pumpkin Pie is one of my favorite things about Thanksgiving. I recently tried out a delish recipe for a new take on a traditional the Thanksgiving dessert. The recipe is for pumpkin pie pops, which are basically just mini individual pies on a popsicle stick. Its the same concept as cake pops except with pie.

These are so simple to make and so worth it. You can pick whatever pie filling you like. I choose pumpkin pie and brought a simple pie mix.

Just buy a simple pie crust mix and roll out 2 inch circles. Place 2 inch circles on a baking sheet. Stick a popsicle stick in each circle so it sticks out about 3 inches. Drop a small dollop of whatever pie filling you like in the middle of the pie crust circle. Roll out another 2 inch pie crust circle and lay it on top of the first one with the pie filling on it. Take a fork and press around the edges of the pie crust circle.

These would be great for a Thanksgiving dessert. Everyone enjoys having a personal dessert.

Fall organization.

by Lauren on November 9, 2012

For some reason this time of year always inspires me to get organized. Since this weekend is fairly relaxed, organization is on my to do list. I found some cute inspiration on Pinterest to get started.

Side table.

Organization tip: using a tray helps cut the clutter because it limits what you can keep on the table.

Bathroom.

Organization tip: an armoire is not just for the bedroom anymore, its a good addition to the bathroom. The clear shelves make it

more bathroom appropriate.

Closet.

Organization tip: a closet is the most important part of a home to organize. Although I wish this was my closet, I am going to color code my closet and put some shelves in.
